Mr Paul Miller

Mr Miller is currently Senior Urological Surgeon at the Surrey and Sussex NHS trust as well as co-founder of the British Prostate Centre.

After a period of training in the USA he has helped to develop surgical treatment for prostate cancer in the UK and has performed over 1000 radical prostatectomy operations.

He is one of the pioneers in the UK of Holmium Laser Prostatectomy (HOLEP.) This is now considered the "gold standard" for the treatment of large prostates.

During his career he has won numerous awards and has been widely published. He has taught at the Royal College of Surgeons and Institute of Urology and has been treating prostate cancer patients as a Consultant for the last fifteen years.

Mr Miller has been treating early and recurrent prostate cancer using the latest high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) since 2005 and is one of the leading UK practitioners of this technique. He is also joint director of the HIFU Clinic at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital where over 100 successful HIFU treatments have been carried out.

Mr Tim Larner

Mr Larner, co-founder of the British Prostate Centre, was awarded an MD from the University of Melbourne for his work in prostate cancer tumour targeting. He has regularly been invited to teach laser prostatectomy and has presented numerous papers both nationally and abroad.

He has specialised in uro-oncologial surgery since his appointment as a consultant and is the Lead Clinician for complex renal cancer to the Sussex Cancer Network.

He is one of the most experienced surgeons in photoselective vaporisation of the prostate in the UK with over 600 procedures experience.
