There are several common prostate complaints,
most of which can be quickly and easily treated.
This condition means inflammation in the prostate gland. It can be caused by infection and needs treatment with (broad-spectrum) antibiotics. However infection is not always present (abacterial)
Symptoms can be very distressing. Leading to pain between the scrotum and anus (perineum) radiating to the buttocks and inner thighs. Urinary symptoms include burning pain when passing water and frequency.
At the British Prostate Centre we have treated many men with this condition. They are given a combination of antibiotics and put on a "prostate health" diet. Occasionally minor surgery is helpful to express the prostate secretions and inject antibiotic directly into the prostate.
Prostatitis is a very variable condition and we hope to provide the best treatment for everyman suffering this debilitating condition.
